RUST PREVENTIVES

Metal corrosion is essentially an electrochemical reaction. Oxidation occurs at the anode and reduction occurs at the cathode due to ionic current through an electrolyte, usually water, &electron current through the metal. Other elements or contaminants present may act as catalysts.
